I grew up, okay I got older. My family has always enjoyed
music. From Jimmy Martin to Haggard to Elvis to the Monkees
there was always music.oh, even the 1910 Fruit Gum Company.
I went thru two stages of drumming. Had an electric guitar,
then an acoustic and never did learn to play them. One day
my best friend calls (a banjo picker) said we're jamming and
to bring my guitar, and he knew I couldn't play. I went.
Then the next night I went again, and then they showed me
G-C-D on the electric bass and I was hooked. On the first
night there was this 13 year old mandolin/guitar player
that was awesome, we jammed many times together and now he's
the fiddle player in the Del McCoury Band, yep Jason
Carter!
The next weekend I heard my first "dog house" and it was an
instant love affair. In two weeks I had my first Kay!
After meeting a few folks in the bluegrass world they soon
found out I had either a big personality or big mouth (or
both) and got me on the radio. The rest is history still
being made! Find out more
